Being a Registered Exercise Professional means that Individual Fitness trainers:

  • have met the National Exercise Professional requirements and qualifications in fitness:
    • Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) vocational qualification in fitness (eg: Certificate III, Certificate IV or Diploma) or
    • A higher education qualification in exercise science (eg: Exercise Science Degree) or
    • Completed a selected non-AQF certification (eg: LMAP Group Exercise Leader) accepted at the Provisional level of registration.
  • holds a current Senior First Aid and CPR certification
  • is recognised as a 'Licence to Practice' as a professional
  • is commitment to ongoing professional development and
  • is eligible for professional insurance cover.

Exercise Professionals are registered at levels according to qualification and experience; in categories aligned with completed and current vocational roles.
